DORINGBAAI OUTREACH - 42 CONVERTS
18-20 April 2024
Doringbaai ( also previously known as Doornbaai) is a settlement and small fishing village about 358 km from Cape Town on the West Coast.
The SA CARE MISSIONS team consisted of 11 from the Western Cape and 14 from the Northern Cape ( mainly members of the Nababeep AOG in the Namaqualand Region.)
We were also joined by someone who travelled all the way from Bloemfontein to spend one day on the outreach.
Accommodation was provided by people in the community who kindly opened their homes for us.
Our daily programme consisted of:
Devotions ( also called “power hour” ) early morning. This was followed by breakfast. We then had orientation to prepare us for door to door evangelism for the rest of the morning.
After lunch at 3pm our Children’s Ministry Team had their outreach programme with children of the community. On Friday morning they also had an opportunity to minister to the 180 learners of the Doringbaai Primary School.
The evenings saw the gospel services in the Miriam Owies Community Hall at 6.30. These meetings were marked by very lively and vibrant praise and worship, inspiring testimonies and the dynamic ministry of God’s word by evangelist Arthur Smith.
The outreach yielded a harvest of 42 souls for which we give God all the glory.
We have established a good relationship with some of the local leadership and entrusted the new converts into their care. We will do our best to maintain contact with them.
The team left after our last service on Saturday night and both the Northern Cape and Western Cape groups arrived safely at home in the early hours of Sunday morning 21 April 2024.
